Conquer Cancer announces 2022 International Innovation Grant recipients

2022 International Innovation Grant recipients.

Alexandria, Va. – Conquer Cancer®, the ASCO Foundation, is pleased to announce the 2022 International Innovation Grant (IIG) recipients. IIGs provide a one-year research grant of up to $20,000 to a nonprofit organization or government agency in support of novel and innovative projects that can have a significant impact on cancer control in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). The award is intended to support proposals that have the potential to reduce the cancer burden in local communities, while also being potentially transferable to other LMIC settings. 
  

The 2022 Recipients are:  

All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Jodhpur (India)

Project Title: “Quality of life, physical and mental well-being with Yoga therapy in Head and Neck cancer patients managed with surgery first as curative intent treatment: A Randomized Controlled Trial” 

Principal Investigator: Dharma Ram Poonia, MS, DNB, MBBS 

Baptist Institute of Health Sciences (Cameroon)

Project Title: “Establishing a holistic survivorship clinic for adolescents and young adults aged 13 to 25 years who survived childhood cancers in rural Cameroon”

Project Title: “Establishing the First Dedicated Population-Based Childhood Cancer Registry (PBCCR) and Network of Hospital-Based Childhood Cancer Registries (HBCCRs) in India”
