These distinguished awards recognize first authors on top-ranking abstracts selected for presentation at the ASCO Quality Care Symposium on October 27-28, 2023, in Boston, MA.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Conquer Cancer®, the ASCO Foundation, is pleased to award Ana Garrido-Castro, MD, with the 2023 Conquer Cancer – Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation Advanced Clinical Research Award (ACRA), for her research project “Unraveling mechanisms of resistance to antibody drug conjugates in triple-negative breast cancer.”
ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Conquer Cancer®, the ASCO Foundation, is pleased to award the 2023 Gianni Bonadonna Breast Cancer Research Fellowship to Eleanor Taranto, MD for her research project “QuantifyHER” which will evaluate a new set of bioassays to further quantify HER2 expression in HER2-low metastatic breast cancer and thereby improve the accuracy of diagnosis.
ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Conquer Cancer®, the ASCO Foundation, is proud to announce the recipients of its 2023 Breakthrough Merit and Abstract Awards. These awards recognize students, trainees, and junior faculty for their valuable research in clinical cancer treatment and technology innovations in cancer care.
Nancy Daly, MS, MPH, is the CEO of Conquer Cancer®, the ASCO Foundation. She brings experience as a clinical nurse at Johns Hopkins Oncology Center, director of operations in the Radiation Oncology Department at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center University, and director of the Chemical-Modifier Program at the Joint Center for Radiotherapy at Harvard Medical School. She moved from the clinical world to the professional society space, working first with the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) as director of government relations.
