ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Conquer Cancer®, the ASCO Foundation, together with the Bristol Myers Squibb Foundation (BMS Foundation) and the national cancer cooperative groups today announced the first group of oncology physicians who have been selected for the Robert A. Winn Diversity in Clinical Trials: Clinical Investigator Leadership Award powered by Conquer Cancer’s EveryGrant® (Winn CILA-Onc: asco.org/winn-cila).

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Conquer Cancer®, the ASCO Foundation, is pleased to announce the recipients of its 2023 Quality Care Symposium Merit Awards.
These distinguished awards recognize first authors on top-ranking abstracts selected for presentation at the ASCO Quality Care Symposium on October 27-28, 2023, in Boston, MA.
These 27 oncology professionals are recognized for their respective field and research advancements within the cancer care community:
Evanie Anglade, BA, Rutgers New Jersey Medical School
Deanna B. van Gestel volunteers her time as a member of the Board of Directors of Conquer Cancer®, the ASCO Foundation, and as a member of the Women Who Conquer Cancer (WWCC) Committee. In 2007, she founded Vaniam Group, a distinguished network of independent health care communication agencies focused on oncology and hematology, where she also serves as CEO. In 2014, Ms. van Gestel founded Women Leaders in Oncology to provide an opportunity for women in the cancer care community to collaborate with and inspire one another.
ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Conquer Cancer®, the ASCO Foundation, is pleased to award Ana Garrido-Castro, MD, with the 2023 Conquer Cancer – Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation Advanced Clinical Research Award (ACRA), for her research project “Unraveling mechanisms of resistance to antibody drug conjugates in triple-negative breast cancer.”
ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Conquer Cancer®, the ASCO Foundation, is pleased to award the 2023 Gianni Bonadonna Breast Cancer Research Fellowship to Eleanor Taranto, MD for her research project “QuantifyHER” which will evaluate a new set of bioassays to further quantify HER2 expression in HER2-low metastatic breast cancer and thereby improve the accuracy of diagnosis.
