Commitment recognized by White House Cancer Moonshot

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Conquer Cancer®, the ASCO Foundation, is pleased to announce the recipients of its 2022 ASCO Annual Meeting Merit Awards. 

Annual Meeting Merit Awards support oncology trainees who are first authors on abstracts selected for presentation at the ASCO Annual Meeting. This year, Conquer Cancer will recognize 151 recipients with Merit Awards. These oncology professionals are recognized for their respective field and research advancements within the cancer care community.

Gail Eckhardt, MD, FASCO, is the Hologic, Inc Endowed Women Who Conquer Cancer Mentorship Award recipient and Cynthia Villarreal-Garza, MD, DSc, is the 2022 International Women Who Conquer Cancer Mentorship Award recipient. 

Alexandria, Va. – Conquer Cancer®, the ASCO Foundation, is pleased to announce the 2022 International Innovation Grant (IIG) recipients. IIGs provide a one-year research grant of up to $20,000 to a nonprofit organization or government agency in support of novel and innovative projects that can have a significant impact on cancer control in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).

Alexandria, Va. - Conquer Cancer®, the ASCO Foundation, welcomes Kathryn Beal, MD, to its Board of Directors. Dr. Beal will help guide Conquer Cancer in its support of funding breakthrough research for every type of cancer.
